'RRI ride 4 Aug 2008'

Last weekend me and kiddrock packed our bike and headed to the RRI trail at Subang. Locating RRI is fairly easy and directions can be found here. Visitors to the farm are to be aware that this is a working rubber estate and all care must be taken when manouvering through the estate to the trailhead. The cars had to park near the Caltex petrol station near by because no parking lots at the trailheadWe started cycle from the bottom bit late where was 10am at that time. When we start reach the rubber estate, the weather started cool down and the cool air breeze flow in between the trees. We took the long 'cross country trail to reached the top of the hill' which took us about 15 min to reach. Once stopped, we had a break at the top to fill up our 'gas'. (smoke break..hahahah)Once the energy boost up back, we started downhill with some actions in the middle of the trail. It was quit exciting day where we just let the energy drain with the adrenalin.

FRIM's trail ride

This is the first time Aze and me, ride at FRIM, Kepong. Some info about FRIM are visitors the opportunity of enjoying a walk through a Malaysian Rainforest and of understanding the forest ecosystem. This Forest Reserve is gazetted in 1926 & has a worldwide reputation as a centre of excellence in forestry researchTo enter FRIM there we had to pay RM1 each and start from the main guard house we headed to FRIM trail. The trail was moderate where it also can be ise by the semi off road trucks or cars. We came across some mountain-bikers and catch some advises. By using GPS we search the trail and end up we across the Dream trail. But this time we start from the end and cycle up to the hill. It was nightmare, but we still enjoyed ourselves. It was a single track where some obstacles, we had to lift up our bike across the big fallen trees and truncks.
